He is survived by: his close friend Sue Jacobs; his daughter Lisa Thiergartner (Duane); his grandchildren, Evan Thiergartner (Megan) and Lauren Thiergartner; and his siblings, Anita Westfall (Bill) and Charma Boston (Perry Kimberly).
Visitation was held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Snyder Funeral Homes, Lasater Chapel (11337 Upper Gilchrist Rd, Mt Vernon, OH 43050). A memorial service was held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions in Ron's name be made the Hospice Foundation of America at Ways to give - Hospice Foundation of America, or New Vocations Racehorse Adoption Program at New Vocations.
