He is survived by: his wife Debra Arter; his son Bryan Arter (Brandy); his grandchildren, Sam (Emma), Cameron, Rigby Arter and Adrienne Porter; and his sisters, Alyce Williams and Beth Rowley (Dick). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Hartford Cemetery Bennington Chapel.
