It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia Mae Brooks (Mount Vernon, Ohio), who passed away on January 29, 2026, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Mason and Dorothy Kessler (Keller); her husband Col. George David Brooks; and her siblings, Betty Turner of Mt. Liberty, OH and Kenneth Kessler of Mt. Vernon, OH..
She is survived by: her daughters, Jeanna Brooks Burrell (Richard) of Sunbury, OH and Tammi Brooks of Reynoldsburg, OH; her granddaughter Tessa Burrell of Delaware, OH; her stepgrandchildren, Trisha, Brittany Harvey of Las Vegas, NV and Anthony Harvey of Columbus, OH; her great grandchild Christopher Harvey of Pataskala, OH; her siblings, Donald Kessler (Jan) of Sparta, OH, Rick Kessler (Katherine) of Phillipi, WV and Kimi LoPiccolo (Sam) of Sparta, OH; her sister-in-law Janice Clarke of Clarksville, IN; her cousins, Jo Ann Holtrey, Harley James Hanna (Barb) and Larry Hanna (Wendi); and her pets, Izzie, Tippy and Lilly. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great and great great nieces and nephews.
