He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank E. Zimmer and Ruth Zimmer (Lehman); his wife Martha Rettig; and his brother Leo Zimmer. He is survived by: his children, Scott Zimmer (Nancy), Napoleon and Krista Lawson (Robert); his granddaughters, Ashley Moyer (Taylor), Rachel and Sydney; his great grandchild Ellis; his brother Ramon Zimmer (Jeanette); and his close friend Sharon Hoffman. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. John's United Church of Christ (946 OH-108, Holgate, OH 43527).
