She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin Wachtman and Almeda Wachtman (Bahler); her stepfather Rudy Panning; and her brothers, Thomas and James Panning.
She is survived by: her husband Gary Bernath (Napoleon); her children, Stephanie Eggebrecht (Paul) of Napoleon, Michelle Brown of Parma Heights, Jonathan Bernath (Desa) of Columbia Station and Rachel Bailey (William) of Batavia, Ohio; and her sister Patricia McMahon (Andy) of Napoleon, Ohio.. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul Lutheran Church (1075 Glenwood Ave, Napoleon, OH 43545).
