He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Johnston and Pearle Johnston (Brakeman); and his siblings, Robert Johnston (Eleanor), Patricia Cline (Robert), Lewis Johnston (Marjory) and Marianne Cody.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his children, Wendy Greutman (Jeff) and Timothy Johnston (Karen); his grandson Zachary Greutman (Ruthi); and his brother-in-law Clayton Cody. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church.
