He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Vargo and Okey Ammonette (Carrol); his son Joseph; and his brother Michael Vargo. He is survived by: his wife Jody Faye Weller; his daughters, Megan Hopkins (Brian) and Melissa Thacker; his grandchildren, Alicyn, Ashton, Isabella, Macie and Jaxson; and his siblings, Pat Vargo, Tim Vargo and Tommy Vargo.

Memorial contributions may be made to the CHP Defiance Inpatient Hospice or The Henry County Relay for Life.
