He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Meyer and Lorina Meyer (Wachtmann); his aunts and uncles, Rudolph Meyer (Lucille), Harold Wachtmann (Emma), Arther Wachtmann, Ray Wachtman (Marge) and Ronald Wachtmann; his cousin Larry Meyer; and his in-laws, Jack Bechtol and Sue Meyer.

He is survived by: his aunts and uncles, Melvin Wachtmann (Margaret), Mildred Gerken, Gerri Wachtmann and Norm Wachtmann (Lois); his cousins, Marna Lou Bechtol, Robert Meyer, Linda, Vernon, David, Lynn, Lisa, Doug, Sue, Tim, Brent, Tom, Mike, Mark, Janet, Bruce, Cindy, Bob, Teresa and Kim; and his caregiver Beverly Holloway.
