She was predeceased by: her parents, John Gerken and Ruth Gerken (Kline); her husband Malcolm "Sonny" Helberg; her siblings, Kenneth Gerken, Jeannette Holers (Vernon), Howard Gerken (Peggy) and Marlene Patterson (Russell); her stepsister Jane Schmeckpeper (Bob); and her stepmother Ada Conway Gerken.

She is survived by: her children, Vicki Saneholtz (Michael), Peggy Mossing (Stephen), Bruce Helberg (Kathryn) and John Helberg (Shirley Judson); her grandchildren, Serenity Linstedt (Larry), Todd Saneholtz (Kelly), Nicholas Mossing (Lexi Eging), Christopher Helberg (Lauren), Mischell Schlosser (Cole), Kristi Helberg, Brian Helberg (Kaitlin) and Jennifer Roth (Chad); her half-sister Karen Maassel (Donald); and her sister-in-law Alice Gerken. She is also survived by 19 great grandchildren.
