With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Velmetta A. Moody of Napoleon, Ohio, who passed away on February 24, 2026 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bayard Couts and Ethel Couts; her husband Darrell Moody; her siblings, Bob, Joe, Dick, Ray, Harold Couts and Judy Couts; and her half-siblings, Irene Hill and Carl Rump.
She is survived by: her children, Velissa Seiler (Mark), James Burkholder and Carrie Sharp (Matt); her grandchildren, Alesha, Preston Ruoff, Eliam, Quinton Seiler, Seth Burkholder, Mallory, Thomas, James Lines and Maddie Sharp; her great grandchild Ariel Ruoff; and her sister Helen Wasnich. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
