He was predeceased by : his parents, Lawrence Hoeffel and Mary Rose Hoeffel (Thompson); his wife Rebecca "Becky" Palmer (Witte); his daughter Deb Parker; his son-in-law George Kessler, Jr.; and his siblings, Ann Hoover Schnitkey, Betty Meyer and Joe Hoeffel.
He is survived by : his children, David Hoeffel, Karen Kessler, Cindy Sabo (John), Mary Detmer (Dean), Amy Hoffman (Rick), Tom Hoeffel (Kelly) and Marilyn Palmer; his former life partner Norrine Hoeffel (Westhoven); and his siblings, Ed Hoeffel (Mary Catherine), Mary Hesselschwardt (Ed) and Grace Speiser (Mike). He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren.
