He was predeceased by: his parents, William P. Lytle and Alice Elizabeth "Betty" Lytle (Nase); his wife Jeanne Hermiller (Bruskotter); his sisters, Mona Lytle and Elizabeth; his siblings-in-law, Jim, Bob, Tommy, Richard, Chuck Bruskotter, Jack "Jacko" Wells, Rosemary, Mary Ellen, Marylin Bruskotter and Marge Wells (Bruskotter); and his daughter-in-law Mary J. Hermiller.

He is survived by: his friends, Larry and Bonnie Sasaki; his uncle Bub; his sister Martha Schipfer (Daniel); his brother-in-law John Rupp; his children, Robert (Sarah), John Hermiller and Megan Lytle-Steele (Doug); his grandchildren, Keri Fansher (Geoff), Cale Hermiller, Jeanne Steele, Nicole and Doug Steele, Jr.; and his nephews, Daniel Schipfer (Christine), John Schipfer (Marlo), Matthew Schipfer (Adrienne) and Joseph Rupp (Kristin). He is also survived by many great grandchildren nieces, nephew, and lifelong friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Augustine Catholic Church, St. Augustine School, the Henry County Humane Society, or Ohio Living Hospice.
