He was predeceased by: his daughter Karen Nichols; his sisters, Emma Jean Sheets and Alice Lester; and his son-in-law Gary Wilson. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Nichols (Mattingly); his children, Mike Nichols (Cathy) of Dresden, Mark Nichols (Mitzi) of Dresden, Lisa Anders (Tony) of Zanesville and Marsha Nichols of Nashport; his grandchildren, Sara, Michael, Megan, Amanda, Teddy, Kimberly and Abby; his great grandchildren, Kylee, Ali, Colt, Cayden, Aaron, Brynleigh, Josephine, Hadlie, Wyatt, Lily, Aaden, Everly, Raelynn and Riley; his niece Sherrie Grubb (Keith); and his nephew Sam Sheets (Luann).
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM and from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home (714 Main St, Dresden, OH 43821). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
