He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Amidon and Mabel Amidon; and his siblings, Rodney, Junior, Theresa, Medora and Vicki.
He is survived by: his wife Jan Amidon; his children, David Amidon, Renee Lonca (Kevin), Susan Merritt (Chris), Adrienne Stoll (Chuck) and Geoff Amidon (Melissa); his sister Donna McSurly; and his brother-in-law Terry Phillips. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Paquelet Funeral Home (1100 Wales Rd NE, Massillon, OH 44646). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Holy Family Parish (216 Wooster St NE, Navarre, OH 44662).
