He was predeceased by: his parents, Hazel H. Ackeret (Welch) and Walter C. Ackeret; his brothers, Walter A and Vernon C. Ackeret (Dorothy); and his son-in-law James Crawford.
He is survived by: his children, Wanda K. Shinn, Anita J. Crawford and Logan D. Ackeret (Terri); his grandchildren, Alana Gurmu (Yared), James A. and Jacob A. Crawford; and his great grandchildren, Jeremiah Crawford, Ariella and Caleb Gurmu.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the Paint Township Fire Department, P O Box 176, Mount Eaton OH 44659-0176, in Lowell's honor.
