He was predeceased by : his parents, Walter Dearing and Alice Dearing (Martin); and his siblings, Walter Dearing Jr., Merle Dearing and Suzie Dearing.

He is survived by : his wife Virginia Kay Dearing; his children, Brett A. Dearing (Hazel) of Logan, Ohio and Laura B. McAnallen (Mike) of Lancaster, Ohio; his granddaughter Sarah Dearing; his stepgrandchildren, Chris McAnallen, Mackenzie Japp (Chase), Isabella McAnallen and Sam McAnallen; his great grandchildren, Addie Dearing and Jayden Lavelle; and his nieces, Tracie Dearing of Logan, Erin Lewis (Ted) of Moses Lake and Kelly Lewis (Bob) of Vancouver, Washington..
