He was predeceased by : his parents, Michael William Howdyshell and Doris Mae Smith (Joyce); and his son Jeremy Howdyshell. He is survived by : his wife Rebecca Howdyshell (Stilson); his sons, Josh Howdyshell and Jesse Howdyshell (Nicole) of Nelsonville; his stepsons, Cody Conley of Logan and Cory Conley of Logan; his grandchildren, Alexis Conley, Jace Howdyshell and Jackson Howdyshell; and his siblings, Terry Howdyshell (Sheila) of New Plymouth and Carol Goss (Chris) of Logan.
