He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis Adkins and Ida Pearl Jenkins (Buskirk-Adkins); and his siblings, Dottie Crossland, Johnny Ray Adkins, Charles Adkins, Scott Adkins, Robert "Doughball" Adkins and Roger "Dink" Adkins.
He is survived by: his daughters, Amanda Adams (Adkins) and Erin Ferry (Adkins); his grandchildren, Cohen Adams, Fletcher Ferry and Ezra Ferry; and his nieces, Cindy Jo Crossland and Misty Rayburn. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
