He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond W. Hartwig and Mildred E. Hartwig (Trittschuh); his wife Dorothy R. Krutz; his daughter Kathleen Monroe; and his brother Duane Hartwig.
He is survived by: his son Travis Hartwig of New Bremen; and his sister-in-law Alice Hartwig of St. Marys.
