It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lynette Matre of New Carlisle, Ohio, who passed away on July 1, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Lynette shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Lynette farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Long and Flora Long. She is survived by: her husband Roger Matre; and her sister Nesta Criger. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home (507 Jefferson St, New Carlisle, OH 45344). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
