He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Scanlon and Mabel Scanlon; his brothers, Stanley and Richard Scanlon; and his sons-in-law, Shawn Burke, Wolfgang Thiergart and Joe Perkins.
He is survived by: his wife Maryanne Scanlon (Swaile); and his daughters, Karen Perkins, Kim Griest (Ron), Missy Thiergart and Clara Medina Leon. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews.
