With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William W. Grimpe of New Carlisle, Ohio, born in Morgantown, West Virginia, who passed away on July 8, 2023 at the age of 76. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of William W. Grimpe to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Werner Grimpe and Elizabeth Grimpe (Schroeder). He is survived by: his wife Joanna Grimpe (Smith); his children, Sheli Ann Randall (Rusty) and Brad Grimpe; his grandchildren, Kylee Perry (Jeremy), Kassidy Dunham (Trenton) and Pierce Grimpe; and his great grandchildren, Avery and Elloise Perry.

“I had Mr. Grimpe as an instructor for electrical class, general metals, metal shop, and welding shop. He was the best teacher that I ever had in high school and I think of him often. His instruction helped prepare me for the career that I have spent more than 40 years working in. He had a way of showing students how to do things that effortlessly connected them to the task at hand and made the difficult seem easy. I am profoundly sorry for your loss. Dave Everhart”
