With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Larry R. Showman of New Concord, Ohio, born in Zanesville, Ohio, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Larry left this world on November 6, 2025 at the age of 82, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard L. Showman and Esther I. Showman (Hutchison); his former wife Betty Showman (Morrow); and his wife Mary Showman (Gleckler). He is survived by: his children, Bill Gartner (Laura), Shelly Welsh (Chris), Mary Gartner, Dale Showman (Heather), John Showman (Ronni) and Richard Showman (Nicole); and his brother Michael Showman (Ann). He is also survived by his brother-in-law and sisters-in-law; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 9th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Farus Funeral Home of New Concord (63 W Main St, New Concord, OH 43762). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Bloomfield Presbyterian Church (5650 Cambridge Rd, New Concord, OH 43762).
In lieu of flowers, the family would like to ask for donations in Larry's honor to be made to Genesis Hospice, 713 Forest Avenue, Zanesville, OH 43701.
