She was predeceased by: her parents, Evelyn Barr Williams and Elbert Seward Williams; her husband Everett Earl Bates (Andy); her brother Donald Curtis; and her siblings-in-law, Evelyn Bates, Dorothy Spencer, Mary Jane Williams, Mary Bates, Elizabeth Bates, Dan Gibson, Dr. Jim Bates, Harold Elmo Bates and Roger Bates.
She is survived by: her sons, Randall (Joyce) of Yorktown and Jon (Mary) of New Concord; her daughter-in-law Kim Bates Tarnai; her son Steven of Cockeysville, Maryland.; her grandchildren, Maura Hoff (Ryan), Aaron Bates (Logan), Emily Heagen (Matthew), Madylin Bates and Sophia Bates; her great grandchildren, Clara Hoff, Hayden, Peyton Bates, Jameson, Graham and Maggie Heagen; and her siblings, Eugene (Lina), Robert, Kenneth Williams (Bobbie Jane), Judy Boyd (Don), Sharon Gibson and Vickie Dillon (Joe).
