She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Bolyard and Lessie Shahan Bolyard; her husband Wilbur Barnes; her daughter Luann McCoy; and her siblings, Clarence, Clyde, Rufus, Ralph, Vincent, Gerald Bolyard, Lucille Sherlock, Ruby Decot, Mary Reed and Ruth Purvis.
She is survived by: her children, Doris Christine Connell of Cross Lanes, WV, Wilbur Dean Barnes (Pat) of New Lexington, Margaret Burgess (John) of Lancaster, Deanna Mock (James), David Barnes (Lydia) and Jed Barnes of New Lexington; and her sister-in-law Janice Carrigan of Hemlock. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home (304 Mill St, New Lexington, OH 43764). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 7:00 PM, on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM and at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at the New Lexington Cemetery (440 Swigart St, New Lexington, OH 43764).
