He was predeceased by : his parents, Ezra James and Florence McCune Hoops; his sisters, Dorothy Wood (Rex) and Nancy Newlon; and his grandsons, James and Matthew Hoops.
He is survived by : his children, James Hoops (Jean), Angela Luke (Jeff), Trina Evans (Randy) and Michelle Hoops (Jon Acheson); his grandchildren, McKenzie Street (Warren), Nate, Katie Luke, Gary Lovsey, III, Dakota Starner, Haylea (Marcus Dille) and Austin Starner; his children, August, Zoey Spears, Joshua McKinney, Abby and E. J. Acheson; his great grandchildren, Gannon Street, Sklynn, Dylan Starner, Tianah and Xavier Dille; his sisters, Ruth Wilson, Pat Forgrave (JR) and Peggy Owens; and his brother-in-law Roger Newlon.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Perry County Cancer Alliance or by donating blood to the American Red Cross.
