James Harker Obituary

With sadness, we share the passing of James Harker of New Lexington, Ohio. James, born on July 25, 1948, passed away on October 6, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Family, friends, and acquaintances remember James for his warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. While he will be deeply missed, the influence he had on the lives around him remains. Loved ones will reflect on the time spent together. James’s memory will live on in the hearts of friends and family, a lasting reminder of the connections and experiences he brought to the world.

He is survived by: his wife Diane Harker; his daughter Kayce Harker; and his siblings, Ronnell Harker, Virginia Hughes (Ginny) and Constance Harker (Connie). He is also survived by extended family and lifelong friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the New Lexington Baptist Church (890 S Main St, New Lexington, OH 43764). A celebration of life was held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at the Zion Cemetery (8202 OH-37, Corning, OH 43730).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the New Lexington Baptist Church, honoring Jim's lifelong legacy of helping others.
