He was predeceased by: his father George Leslie; and his sister-in-law Evelyn Dodson. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Bolyard Nelson; his children, Sherri Nelson, Rich Nelson and Chad Nelson; his grandchildren, Tosha, Ryon, Tyler, Lyndsea and Lyllian; his great grandchild Adelaide; his siblings, Nora Nelson, Pam Nelson (John Middaugh), Mery Nelson (T. J. Wilson), Lena Seals and Mike Nelson (Gwen); and his siblings-in-law, Jerry Bolyard (Susan), Johnny Bolyard, Martha Brame (Ron), Dennis Bolyard (April) and Debbie Proctor (Jim). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
