He was predeceased by : his parents, James A. Adkins and Irene V. Browning Adkins; and his stepdaughter Casey Robinson. He is survived by : his wife Tia Adkins; his children, Edward L. Adkins Jr. and Kimberly Hartwell (Gary); his stepson Lucas Smith; his stepgrandchild Brielle Robinson; his grandsons, Dakota J. Adkins, Holden Hartwell and Caleb Hartwell; his great grandchild Wyatt Adkins; and his brother James Adkins. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
