It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Virginia Mildred Whirley of New Paris, Ohio, who passed away on July 12, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Elmer and Lois Mildred Stephens Williams; her granddaughter Christine R. Ford; her siblings, Jean Drew, Robert Williams, Vera Sutphin, Norman Williams, Gordon "Dutch" Williams, Marlene Puthoff, Judy Rhodus, Kay Long and Kenneth C. Williams; and her siblings-in-law, Joseph Whirley, Ruth Gray (Bill) and Becky Davis (Tom).
She is survived by: her children, J. Michael Whirley (Sue), Kelley Harkleroad (Jim Weatherly), Jay Whirley (Julia) and Kim Conley (Duane); her grandchildren, Jerome Tapp (Erin), Misty Canan, Rhett Harkleroad, Nick Crouse (Shelby), Autumn Stewart (Cody) and Mark Whitaker (Jennifer); her great grandchildren, Katie, Nate, Macie, Juliet, Meadow, Tucker, Melody and Junie; her sister Carol Hershberger (Steve); and her siblings-in-law, Nancy Whirley and Gary Whirley (Cathy). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Doan and Mills Funeral Home (790 W Nat'l Rd, Richmond, IN 47374). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Westville Cemetery (4563 New Westville Rd, New Paris, OH 45347).
