He was predeceased by : his parents, James Taylor and Daisy Wallick Taylor; and his siblings, Patty Polka, Cal and Terry Taylor.

He is survived by : his wife Sharon Prosser Taylor; his children, Michael Taylor (Lori) of West Virginia and Amy Nicholson (Ned) of South Carolina; his sister-in-law Patty Taylor of Dover; and his grandchildren, Amanda, Hannah Taylor, Ben and Taylor Nicholson.
