She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Geiser and Bertha Geiser; and her husband Gerhard Schmidt. She is survived by: her children, Dan Schmidt (Kristie) of Dover, Bob Schmidt (Lisa) of Massillon, Sally Harding (Jim) of Worthington and John Schmidt (Holly) of New Philadelphia; her grandchildren, Adam Schmidt (Sarah), Karen Mastroine (Michael), Jennifer Telle (Mike), Angela Curran (Dan), Michael Cassidy (Lyndsay), Leslie Schmidt and Logan Schmidt (Becca); and her great grandchildren, Grant Mastroine (Bridget), Gavin, Truett Mastroine, Kylee, Mason, Sophia Curran, Jackson Fawcett, Austin Telle, Charlie and Hannah Schmidt.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Christian Church (104 3rd St NW, New Philadelphia, OH 44663). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
