He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Herman DeMattio and Barbara Ann DeMattio (Kron); and his parents-in-law, Eugene and Janice Sanders. He is survived by: his wife Tammy DeMattio; his children, Eric, Bette DeMattio of Alliance, Geoffrey and Danielle DeMattio of New Philadelphia; his grandchildren, CJ, Alexis, Luciana, Giava, Giovanni DeMattio and Nicholas Marsili; his great grandchild Lolani Morris; his siblings, Timothy DeMattio (Bridget) of California, Pamela Clum (Steve) of New Philadelphia, Tom DeMattio of Uhrichsville and Andrea "Kay" DeMattio of Newark; and his brother-in-law Don Sanders (Teresa). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory (116 2nd St NE, New Philadelphia, OH 44663). A celebration of life was held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home Chapel at New Philadelphia (116 2nd St NE, New Philadelphia, OH 44663).
