We are sad to announce that on June 12, 2025, at the age of 97, Fred C Matthews Jr. (New Vienna, Ohio) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Carolyn D. Matthews; his parents, Fred C. Matthews Sr. and Lillian Johnson Matthews; his brother Johnson Dale Matthews; his brother-in-law Robert G. Douglass; and his niece Sharon Bosarge.
He is survived by: his children, Melissa Gallagher, Melanie Powers (Dan) and Douglass Matthews (Blanka); his sisters-in-law, Patricia Matthews and Sandy Douglass; and his grandchildren, Colin Gallagher, Cara Gallagher, Mitchell Powers, Martin Powers and Nathan Matthews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Fred's memory may be made to Wilmington Friends Meeting, 66 N. Mulberry Street, Wilmington, OH 45177.
