He was predeceased by: his parents, Clem Durnwald and Barbara Durnwald (Gwirtz); his parents-in-law, John and Rose Ball (Danenmiller); his siblings, Urban Durnwald, Eileen Kempf and Mary Ann Dentinger; and his children-in-law, Sally Durnwald and Victor Restelli.
He is survived by: his wife Gertrude Marie Durnwald (Ball); his children, Joyce Cramer (Michael), Karen Atkins, Darlene Sutter (John) and Roger Durnwald; his grandchildren, David, Robert, Matthew Cramer, Von Restelli, Brooke Roddy (Curtis), Brittany Schaaf (Dustin) and Brianna Finney (Chase); and his brothers, Charlie Durnwald and James Durnwald (Mary). He is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 26th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Secor Funeral Home (414 E Main St, New Washington, OH 44854). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Bernard Catholic Church (422 W Mansfield St, New Washington, OH 44854). A burial will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 at the St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery (422 W Mansfield St, New Washington, OH 44854).
