It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alfred E. Goodman of Newark, Ohio, who passed away on September 30, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Alfred leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his father Orvil E. Goodman; and his brother James Goodman. He is survived by: his mother Mary Joann Goodman; his former wife Diana Goodman; his children, Justin Goodman and Erica Cannon; his grandchildren, Lilly and Trenton; and his siblings, Donald Goodman (Patty), Karen Rittenhouse, Diana Nethers (Craig) and Pamela Goodman. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Newark Chapel (1850 W Main St, Newark, OH 43055). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
