She was predeceased by : her parents, Stanley Harris and Florilla Harris (Jenkins); her husband Phillip David Black; her son Shawn Richard Meckley; and her siblings, Gary Jenkins, Paula Biars and Sandra Harris.

She is survived by : her grandchildren, Jayde Michelle Meckley (Darek Brown) and Shawn Alexander Meckley; her great grandchild Amara Mae Brown; her niece Deonda Simpson (Harry Baker); and her sister Judy Barker. She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
