He is survived by: his significant other Deborah R. Doherty; his children, Kelsey Hess of Columbus, Douglas Elliott of Newark and Brian Elliott, Jr. of Newark; his grandson Kendrick Hess; his sister April Sabo (Jamie) of Wilkins Corner; his mother-in-law Patricia Simmers of Newark; and his siblings-in-law, David Doherty of Newark, Tracy Drumm of Newark and Darlene Webber (Mark) of Maine. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
