She was predeceased by: her parents, Stanley A. Stemm and Eva M. Stemm (Hummel); her fiancé George Shumaker; and her siblings, Stanley Stemm, Frank Stemm, Harold Stemm and Barbara Hackney (Stemm).
She is survived by: her brother Charles Stemm; her sons, John J. McClain Sr. and Gail S. McClain III of Greenwich, OH; her grandchildren, LCpl Jason Z. McClain of Nankin, OH, Maggie M. McClain of Mansfield, OH, John J. McClain Jr., GSgt Dustin J. McClain of Washington, Lliam D. McClain of Ashland, OH, Alena M. Diaz (Goeke) and Dallas; and her great grandchildren, Makayla Kreiner, Landon Kreiner, Zachary McClain, Roselyn McClain, Hunter Diaz, Myles Diaz, Bella Diaz, Elizabeth McClain, Ryan McClain Winston McClain and Amelia McClain.
