It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Robert Friel of Newark, Ohio, who passed away on August 28, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Charles E. Friel; and his brother Tom Friel. He is survived by: his wife Janet Marlene Friel (Burkholder); his children, Michele Kappeler (Karl) and Mitch Friel (Cindy); his grandchildren, Joel, Ben, Brooke Kappeler, Ross and Burk Friel; and his sister Lois Friel. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
