With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charles William Prouty Sr. of Newark, Ohio, born in Zanesville, Ohio, who passed away on August 17, 2023 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde William Prouty and Mable Margaret Prouty (Long); and his siblings, Fred Prouty, Homer Prouty and Gladys Gale (John).
He is survived by: his wife Martha Rose Prouty (Hewitt); his children, Kimberly McWilliams (Jim) and Charles W. Prouty Jr.; his grandchildren, Kyle McWilliams (Christal Van Lear) and Megan Speakman (Chanyce); his great grandchildren, Madisyn McWilliams, Emma McWilliams, Kate Speakman and Kurt Speakman; and his siblings-in-law, Linda Prouty, Vicki Prouty, Agnes Hewitt and Loren Hewitt. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
