He was predeceased by: his parents, Dallas Howard Place Sr. and Neva Edgerley Place; his wife Mary Lou Place; his siblings, Dallas Place Jr. and Wanda Lybarger; his siblings-in-law, Betty Place and Everett Lybarger; his nephew Dallas H. Place; and his great-nephew Christopher Place.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, David Marquart, Jennifer Barnett (Wesley) and Mary Beth Young (Adam); and his sibling's children, Karen Keller (Roger), Sharon Weaver (Mike), Deborah Lucas (Scott) and Jay Lybarger (Deanna).
