He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert J. Kerns and Dolores Kerns (Weed); his siblings, Gilbert "Jimmy" Kerns and Rosemary Parrish; his sister-in-law Kathy Baldeschwiler; and his granddaughter Alyssa.
He is survived by: his wife Pam Vandenbusche Kerns; his stepchildren, Jennie Morrison (Tim) and Billy Sadowski II (Erica); his children, Heidi McClain (Kelly), Jamie Goerler (Roy) and Dennis Kerns Jr.; his sister Kathy Bigler (David); and his sister-in-law Cheryl Stewart (Bill). He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
