We announce the death of Dorothy Ehlermann of Newark, Ohio, who passed away on September 19, 2026, at the age of 92. Dorothy will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Welch and Clara Isabel Welch (Catchpole); the father of her children Joseph Ehlermann; her brothers, Sam Welch (Joann) and Bill Welch (Mary); her nephews, Dave Fischer and Bill Welch Jr.; her niece Dottie Tanner; and her great grandchildren, Owen Bradford and Bryce Molter.
She is survived by: her daughters, Julie Hopkins (Dana), Karen Burchard (James Brown), Barb Bradford (Kevin) and Mary Jane Ehlermann; her niece Debbie Osmond; and her friend Susan McBroom. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 16 great- grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM at the Newark Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta-Stickle Funeral & Cremation Service (59 N 5th St, Newark, OH 43055). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 5:30 PM to 6:00 PM at the same location.
