She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward V. Minton and Dorothy Jeffers Minton; her son Mark Richard Slaughter; and her siblings, Ward Minton, Marilyn Treace, Maxine Fulmer and Dorothy Minton.
She is survived by: her husband Richard O. Slaughter; her children, Leslie Haynes (Archie), Mary Elizabeth Wright and Lori Edwards; and her siblings, Allen Minton of Fostoria, Thomas Minton of Waterford, Phyllis Rice of Richmond Virginia, Wanda Nicholson of Hickory, N. C. and Sue Minton of Florida. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren.
