It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Fred L. Richards of Newark, Ohio, who passed away on September 16, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Fred leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Fred may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Joyce Richards (Smith); his sisters, Linda Sue Treptow (Richard) and Mary Chappell (Earcle); his sons, Deke (Brenda), Clint and Scott Darby (Linda); and his grandchildren, Keith (Haley), James, Teal (Bryan) and Alex (Caleb). He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; and 4 step great great grandchildren.
