With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gaylene M. Bishop of Newark, Ohio, born in Shelby, Ohio, who passed away on June 2, 2023 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father John Harold; her husband Robert Bishop; her daughter Linda George; her son-in-law Art Loewendick; and her siblings, James Cline and Janet Beer.
She is survived by: her children, Laura Lewis (Edward) and Steven Bishop (Lisa); her son-in-law Joseph George; her grandchildren, Christopher George (Katherine), Alexander George, Matthew Lewis (Mallory), Michael Lewis (Ashley Gottschalk), Andy Lewis (Tabitha), Jamie Lewis, Jacob Bishop (Carson) and Nicholas Bishop (Sara); her great grandchildren, Sophie and Emmett George; her sister Sister Lois Ann Cline; and her sister-in-law Audrey Cline. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family requests that memorials in Gaylene's name be made to St. Francis de Sales Parish or Newark Catholic High School Foundation.
