DeVries of Newark, Ohio, born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, who passed away on August 18, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Henry DeVries; his former wife Myrtle DeVries (Nemire); and his siblings, Robert DeVries, Rita DeVries and Ruth Powell.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Nice-DeVries (Cayton); his children, Kenneth DeVries (Rebecca) of Vicksburg, MI and Carol Galler (Richard) of Kalamazoo, MI; his adoptive sons, William Farrel of Schoolcraft, MI and Lee Farrel; and his stepchildren, Dwain, Lloyd, Emerson, Randy and Cheryl. He is also survived by 39 grandchildren; 75 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
