Gerald J. Kokensparger Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gerald J. Kokensparger of Newark, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 9, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Kokensparger and Eunice Kokensparger; and his siblings, Gilbert, Gloria Burley and Carolyn Wiseman.
He is survived by: his wife Georgine; his children, Tod Kokensparger (Karen) and Lori Long (David); his stepdaughter Amy Mays (John Plappert); his grandchildren, Jordann Rector (Mark), Nick Kokensparger, Henry and Emerson Long; his great grandchildren, Everly, Robinson, Quinn and Witten Rector; and his brothers, Mearl, Tom (Doris) and Ricky (Shirley).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Newark Chapel (1850 W Main St, Newark, OH 43055). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
