He was predeceased by: his wife Betty June McElfresh; and his brother Bryce Simmons, Jr.. He is survived by: his children, Daniel B. McElfresh (Ann) and Sarah Shipley (Travis); his grandchildren, Amy, Thaddeus, Abigail and Tytan; his siblings, Betty Shifflet, Jim Simmons, Debbie Murphy (Rick), Gary Simmons and Ricky Simmons; and his close friend Gary.
